My name is Heather Lackey. My husband, Kelly, Alan Hoover, and Jim Holbrook are the guys responsible for putting together the air show. It is a huge undertaking for three guys. Me? I'm just here to help get the word out and offer pearls of wisdom and advice. (Thank me for the port-a-potties...) I'll also be serving as the "official" event photographer. :o)
Some of the major hurdles the planners have had to jump just to get off the ground are:
- Go before the city of Warsaw and present their plan for approval.
- Present their plan to the FAA for approval to shut the air space and for the stunt pilots.
- Obtain insurance for the show.
- Lots of fundraising.
